We Traced it its all him he was in Harlem doing theses crazy pieces ... He was using paint that wasn’t supposed to be used in that manner ... He was already doing Super Burners back then…the idea of using whatever it takes to create your idea… He was using flower paint on the wall…he was using all types of crazy paint that would fade but for those two days or so you would have this crazy color…
Apex speaking about Vulcan

Super Burner Lecture
Through complexly layered compositions, Apex and Vulcan’s intricately detailed murals, known as Super Burners, use a overwhelming variety of abstracted forms and color combinations that address formal issues of painting, design, and architecture within the contemporary urban landscape. Hosted by White Walls gallery the lecture and panel discussion with APEX, VULCAN, and NEONSKI, traces the evolution and impact of the Super Burner upon street art.

Public Stencil Workshop @ Myrtle Alley (next to White Walls gallery)
Open to the public the workshop begins at 3:00 pm. This event is for anyone that is already highly interested in or just curious about the process of making stencils. Feel free to bring home made stencils and or clothing that you wish to have stenciled. Local artists from White Walls Stencil Show will be in attendance and available for questions.
